
Nikolai Zverev
(1954-2010)
Born in Borisov, Vologda Region.
Member of the Union of Artists of Russia, a member of the Association of Experimental Visual Arts (TEIA), a representative of the second wave of the non-conformist movement.
Lived and worked in St Petersburg.

Genre:
"Masyuliks". - A genre invented by Zverev. These are small-scale works in watercolour or tempera depicting enigmatic symbols and heroes.
"Tadism" is a term invented by the artist, referring to his portrait painting and meaning "mysterious movements of the soul"
