
Victor Orlovsky
(b.1940)
Born in the Leningrad Region.
Soviet and Russian architect, artist, professor at the Moscow Architectural Institute, Distinguished Architect of the Russian Federation, corresponding member of the International Academy of Architecture, member of the Moscow Union of Artists, professor in the painting department of the Moscow Architectural Institute.
He lives and works in Moscow.

A good architect is always a great "aesthete". His world view organically includes high artistic qualities, which allow us to speak of an independent creative personality. Freedom is extraordinarily important for creativity. So that he is not subject to the dictates of an administrator, deadlines, all sorts of plans, schedules - everything that kills one's thought, dulls one's imagination. An artist should be free. And, of course, there has to be the full creative realization of his potential
