The story depicts the nightmares of the noble Don Quixote. Hidalgo has a dream of a castle populated by many inhabitants. One of the towers has a strange shape, with a clockwork pendulum and flames bursting out of it. A violent stream of water splashes at the foot of the tower and brings a boat driven by fantastical creatures. A dragon flies up from behind, holding in its paws a large clockwork egg. Horror reverberates on the hidalgo's face, but he has not yet decided what to do. The work is made using various shades of grey, blue, brown with the addition of terracotta, red, cream and pink.
