The artist depicted himself as a Slavic-looking old man with a bratina in his hand. Bratina is a Slavic vessel for alcoholic beverages. The vessel is most likely silver with gold ornaments. There is still plenty of wine inside. However, judging by the bright colour of his face, the old man has already consumed a fair amount of the contents of the vessel. His gaze is striking. There is wisdom and serenity in it. The old man's clothes look rich. It seems that the event is taking place at the feast.
