It's a bright golden autumn. The sun appears to have risen from a recent thunderstorm. It has turned the white temples pink, and the golden crosses gleam brightly in the rays. The basic tones of the painting are reddish-brown with a predominance of darker shades. The greenish-orange foliage of the birch trees and the unusual grey-green sky with shades of beige catch the eye.
