An evening by the river

A quiet summer evening, twilight. Nature lurks, the bushes do not move. Everything around seems to be in a gray-blue haze. Looking more closely, the shore in the foreground abounds in colour: all kinds of shades of green, terracotta tones, even lilac-grey. The bushes are painted in dark colours with inclusions of yellow, blue and white. For the sky the artist has chosen a complex combination of grey, blue and blue, mixing light and dark strokes. Shades of pink and light yellow stand out on the horizon, and the painter's signature use of small brushstrokes makes the work look very dynamic.
