Kimmeray twilight
By Алексей Якимовthroughout the Russian Federation.
Size (height&width): 50*60 cm.
Year: 2001.
Style: Impressionism.
Techniques: Oil on Canvas.
Subject: Landscape.
The painting depicts a landscape. In the distance, a mountain range can be seen. A plain stretches out in front of the viewer and the road is already barely visible in the dusk. Not a single tree or living soul is visible all around. In the foreground one can still make out the colourful flowers of the field - red, blue, white and yellow. The fields around are also not yet devoid of colour. The artist has used all shades of green, dark grey and dark brown. And throughout, light splashes of light in small strokes. In the background are rocky mountains in shades of grey and mauve and the blue-grey sky is still light in places. The varied colour palette ensures that the harsh landscape does not look bleak at all.
