The Cup

A knight in chainmail, rich armour and a blue cloak overlaying it occupies the entire space of the painting. With his left hand he leans on the hilt of his sword and in his right hand he holds an impressive gold goblet decorated with pearls and precious stones. Behind his shoulder is a spear with a red flag. The work, which is a cross between a portrait and a caricature, is rendered in various shades of grey, blue, red and green, with the addition of golden yellow, beige and deep pink.
