Invitation

The artist has depicted a couple drinking tea. In the foreground sits a young, flushed woman in a soft green light dress with long blonde hair, holding a saucer of tea in her hand. Next to her, on the table, is a white teapot with a red pattern. Behind her, a man, half-turned, sips his tea from the saucer. The man's dark hair and dark clothes almost blend into the background. Who invited whom, and why these people are drinking tea with their faces turned away from each other, remains a mystery. The work is made using various shades of green, blue, pink, brown with the addition of red, yellow, burgundy and orange.
