"The Other Side", "Behind the Mask" series

The works in the Behind the Mask series embody two opposing images - the guise in which the characters want to show themselves to others, and the screen under which they hide their real feelings and emotions. The artist refers to the theme of mysterious personalities that hide within each person. The woman in the carnival costume has her head slightly turned, posing for selfies in the mirror. A purple and purple veil flutters behind her back, covering her hair. A purple mask, adorned on the sides with lush feathers, fits tightly around the top of her face. The work is rendered using different shades of purple, blue and grey.
