Apraksin Yard

Two-storey buildings with attics stretch along a paved street. Behind them are the yellow walls of large houses with few windows. It must have recently rained, and the puddles on the road, like a mirror, reflect everything around them: the buildings lined up, the gloomy sky. The work is executed with large, vigorous strokes; no details have been traced. Various shades of grey, brown, yellow, green and blue have been used, along with cream, purple and ashy pink.
