A grey day

The artist depicts a sad winter landscape. The viewer can see a snow-covered field crossed by a road with cars rushing along. The spray of the cars has turned the snow brown, and only in the distance, near the grove, it still retains its whiteness. A small church with a golden dome stands alone in a field, but even it is not pleasing to the eye. Everything around looks dreary: grey grove, grey sky, dirty brown snow. The artist has used a limited palette: different shades of grey and brown. The work is done in large strokes without detailing.
