The drawing shows two ballet dancers in tutu costumes with their hair pulled back in a high coiffure. One of them, in the foreground, is sitting half-turned on a graceful chair, while the other is standing behind her. The poses of these women look jagged and unnatural. The artist has outlined their silhouettes with strokes without specifying any details. Choosing dark grey paper as a background, he used only three colours: black, white and dark blue.
