The picture shows a clown in a colourful costume riding a rocking horse. His bright yellow and pink outfit with a puffy white collar is decorated with large red pompoms and complemented by an orange pointed cap with red hair poking out from underneath. Saddled on a toy horse with his arms up in the air and his head thrown back, he is apparently performing a number. The artist has used a combination of various shades of green, blue, purple, red and yellow, complemented by brown and pink. The outlines are lightly outlined in black. The work is done in large strokes without detailing.
