Winter

The painting depicts a winter forest landscape on a sunny day. In the foreground the artist has depicted mostly white birch trees, although two spruces are also visible. A birdhouse hangs on one of the birches. There is a wide path in the snow, indicating that people often walk here. Someone's silhouette can be seen in the distance on the right. The snow is already quite loose, the sun is probably warming up. Blue shadows line the trunks. And the bright sky without a single cloud looks almost transparent. Such a light, joyful work was created with the help of rather laconic colour palette. The artist used different shades of grey, brown and blue, adding dark green and some pink, as well as touches of blue and red.
