By Неизвестный художникthroughout the Russian Federation.
Size (height&width): 40*50 cm.
Year: 2015.
Style: Realism.
Techniques: Oil on Canvas.
Subject: Cityscapes.
The artist has depicted a corner of St Petersburg. In the foreground, the viewer can see the Fontanka River, the bridge on the right and the church on the other bank, surrounded on all sides by houses. The Church of Simeon and Anne was founded during the reign of Peter the Great and was built in the Petrine Baroque style somewhat later. The yellow and pink colour of the houses with white trim, the grey-blue sky and the greenish water of the river are typical colours of St. Petersburg. The artist worked in large, multi-coloured strokes, without tracing details, using many colours: yellow, sandy beige, red-brick, orange-pink, purple, lilac as well as all possible shades of blue, brown, green and grey.
