The abstract composition resembles an applique pasted onto a black background. The cut-out silhouette resembles a house with roof corners, windows and, under one of them, a staircase with a handrail. The collage is painted in a variety of colours, applied in broad vertical strokes, flowing smoothly one into the other. The artist has used several shades of grey, brown, yellow, blue and red, as well as blue, pink, orange and white.
